The guiding purpose of the Prairie Arts Council is to strengthen and support the participation in cultural arts in Princeton IL and the surrounding areas. The cultural arts entail theater, music, art, and literature and we have made it our mission to support and develop these arts for everyone.

The PAC has a 90-seat theater and a gallery space featuring art and artists from all walks of life. Please visit our gallery and theater pages for more information.

Graduates of Princeton High School return!

The Prairie Arts Council gallery presents:
“Emerging Artists – The Future of Art”
Friday, May 4th through Sunday, June 3, 2012.

This show, featuring the artwork of Princeton High School graduates, is designed to showcase the tremendous artistic talents of our youth and represent the support of our Princeton schools, our local families and the comunity for the arts. The exhibition will feature oils, printmaking, textiles, photography, communication design, pen and ink drawings, sustainable product design, acrylics, pastels and mixed-media. These artworks represent the future of art and the new concepts of art products and techniques.

Participating artists include Benjamin Marti (2003), Salena Nelson (2006), Bill Foehring (2006), Aly Marti (2007), Tara Jaggers (2007), Sean Castner (2008), Abby Beneke (2009), Sallee Noble Zearing (2009), and Jamie Olson (2011).

Please join us for the free opening reception, Friday, May 4th from 5-7 PM. Refreshments will be served.

Gallery hours:
Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 PM
Wednesdays from 6-8 PM
